One of the stranger sounding phrases - where on earth does this one come fom you might quite reasonably enquire!
Well, it seems that this phrase meaning to be delighted refers to the fact that when some people are really excited they literally change colour, and their skin becomes quite pink just like when they blush - so it is becoming so pleased that the blood vessels dilate, more blood flows close to the skin, and we appear redder/pinker of skin - literally being tickled pink!
