Picasso was a Spanish artist, who lived in France. An extremely influential artist, he produced a prolific number of artworks in his life. He lived 1881 - 1973, and had several painting styles which influenced his art.
In 1901 he had his blue painting period - all paintings blue and contained lean figures. The Old Guitarist and Life were produced in this period. 1907 - 1911 saw his early cubism stage: e.g. Fruit Dish. Then synthetic cubism 1912 - 21. His most famous painting, Guernica, was produced in 1935. His art work is loved by millions and his paintings are worth millions, too
