Character from the smash hit US comedy, Frasier.
Daphne is played by Jane Leeves, and has a strong English accent. She is a physiotherapist and her role is to look after Frasier's father, Martin Crane, although he seems generally nimble enough to look after himself.
The satire and comedy often comes from the fact in the first series that Niles is besotted with Daphne and in love with her, but she never realises this for a long time and he secretly pines for her through his relationship with Maris and then afterwards; eventually the two coming together in later series and getting married.
