Famous character from comedy Red Dwarf.
Red Dwarf was something of a cult classic television sitcom, and ran from 1988 to 1999.
The creators of the series were Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. The character of Lister, full name Dave Lister, was played by Craig Charles who is now famous for a variety of other roles for instance in Coronation Street as taxi driver Loyd.
He was a low ranking crew member who is famous for his love of Indian food; he is well meaning, a bit silly and lazy, and a lot of comedy situations arise from his interaction with other characters, his occasional love interests etc.
